Hockaday Debate Places Second in Country
Hockaday's Debate Team competed this spring in the National Debate Coaches Association National Championship.
The Hockaday team of Dithyae Devesh (Class of 2025), Sophia Shi (Class of 2027), Riya Sangapu (Class of 2026), and Mischa Rutledge (Class of 2026) were runners up in the national championship on a difficult 3-2 decision. Lily Vollbrecht (Class of 2027) received third best speaker, Aimee Hsu (Class of 2026) received fourth, Riya Sangapu eighth, and Dithyae Devesh ninth.
