Crocheting for Good

Ava Hollins (Class of 2030) is a budding entrepreneur, with products that sell out in the Hockaday bookstore!
She crochets small items like Solace, which is a security blanket that fits in the palm of your hand. “It’s for young kids, or kids with special needs,” she said. “Anyone who fidgets a lot in class, this helps you relax and breathe without distracting others.”

She also crochets Worry Wonders, which are plushies you can cuddle. “They hold your worries,” she said.
Her mom taught her how to crochet, and she also crochets scrunchies. She recently won a Biz Kids expo for young entrepreneurs. “A portion of my proceeds go to support organizations for people with neurodivergence,” she said.
