Dissecting Dogfish Sharks

Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy students began their deep dive into dissection this week. 
The dissection series begins with the dogfish shark, a representative of the cartilaginous fish class, where students will identify and understand the specialized adaptations for living in aquatic environments and appreciate the structure and function differences among the viscera of fish versus humans (mammals).
