Upper School Biology Welcomes Visitors

Upper School’s Biology, Impact, and the Zoo class was visited by special guests this week!
Dr. Michael Horne, President and CEO of Parkland Foundation, spoke to the class about the barriers preventing Dallas residents in different zip codes from reaching their full potential. The class discussed the reasons life expectancy can vary so much between residents of the same city, and what solutions citizens and companies can take to improve the health and wellness of everyone in Dallas.

Sydney Wasson, a Conservation Culture Coordinator at the Dallas Zoo, spoke about her journey as a scientist and the remarkable conservation efforts made by the Dallas Zoo and zoos worldwide.
