Summer at Hockaday

Summer General Information

Registration

All new Summer at Hockaday families will create a family account in our online registration system, Active Network. Saving your username and password will allow you to access your account, review and/or edit choices made, and print receipts for tax purposes. If you attended Summer at Hockaday any time during Summer 2014 through 2022, please log in with the email address you used to establish your account. If you have questions regarding registration, please call 214-360-6534.

Registrations will close at 11:59 pm every Thursday for the upcoming week to allow us to make preparations for new groups of participants.

A non-refundable enrollment fee of $50 per child will apply.

The following Enrollment Contract will require an electronic signature within the registration process. Please read prior to registering.

Cancellation and Refunds

REFUND POLICY
Refunds (minus the enrollment fee) will be granted for cancellations made on or before May 1. After May 1, no refund will be made for withdrawals from all or part of a session. Tuition payments (minus the enrollment fee) will be refunded only if an offering is canceled by Summer at Hockaday and an alternate offering is not available.

Camp times listed may be altered as noted in program descriptions.
 
Campers who attend a morning and afternoon camp should have lunch selected in the registration process. Please do not send a lunch to camp.

Summer at Hockaday is looking forward to welcoming the following organizations as third-party camp offerings to our summer community:

     Drone Together (STEM and drone camps)
     Kidokinetics (Fitness and sports camps)
     Lavner Education (Tech camps)
     Play-Well TEKnologies (LEGO® camps)
 
These partner programs offer high quality and high energy educational and enriching programs with curriculum created by professionals that work within each company and are then led by staff who are hired and trained by each organization. Third-party camps meet specific criteria defined by Summer at Hockaday to be invited as a partner program.
 
All third-party offerings pair seamlessly with the full programmatic summer schedule.
 
 
BEFORE AND AFTER CARE

LUNCH
Lunch is served to all participants who participate in a full-day schedule of programs, which includes a morning and afternoon program within the same week or a full-day program. Lunch includes hot and cold options, fresh fruit and vegetables, yogurt, a fresh salad bar, and dessert on Fridays.
 
Participants who attend a combination of a morning and afternoon offering within the same week should select lunch in the registration process.

Communication

Upon completion of your registration, you will receive a confirmation email summarizing your registration selections. A welcome packet will be sent to the email used during registration two weeks prior to camp and will include information such as what to bring, drop-off and pick-up instructions, health and safety protocols, and much more. If at any time you need to reach the Summer at Hockaday office, please call 214-360-6534.

Healthcare

Summer at Hockaday 2024 will include a Summer Health Team made up of nurses who will assist in established health protocols. The Summer Health Team will serve participants daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, managing everyday medical occurrences, dispensing medications, and communicating with parents if a child is sick or injured.

Security

A secure environment is a top priority of Summer at Hockaday. For Summer 2024, visitors, including parents/guardians, must check-in at the designated entrance with security staff. All drop-off and pick-up will take place outside utilizing a carline process. 

Hockaday's security team will be present during carpool times as well as monitoring the campus throughout the day. Please adhere to the security standards set forth in the communication you will receive two weeks prior to the start of camp.

Within the private school community, The Hockaday School is an independent college-preparatory day school for girls from grades PK–12 located in Dallas, Texas.
