In addition to working in the financial services industry, Simon taught International Baccalaureate higher-level and standard-level math classes and served as the head of the Upper School math department at Dallas International School.

Shulamit earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master of Physics from the Israel Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. As a particle physicist, her physics education and research were conducted in world-leading institutions and laboratories, including Harvard University, the European Laboratory for Nuclear Physics (CERN), Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Illinois and the Technion in Israel. She most recently taught at Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas.
