The exhibition is in the Ann Bower '67 Gallery from April 14 – 29, and the reception will be held at 12:30 pm on April 29. The exhibit features work from current students in Foundations of Ceramics, AP 3D, and Advanced Ceramics.

Whether it's the warmth of a distant memory, the spark of a new beginning, or the longing of the star-crossed, let your heart awaken as we explore what it means to dream, to desire, and to live with purpose.

Experience the timeless tragedy of Romeo and Juliet in a fresh and hauntingly beautiful way, as the Upper School Choir joins the Hockaday Theatre Company to tell Shakespeare’s iconic story of love and loss. Featuring the ethereal and emotionally charged music of Sufjan Stevens, this unique collaboration breathes new life into the tale of star-crossed lovers. This unforgettable production promises to transport audiences to a world where love and tragedy collide in stunning harmony.

As hard as it is to believe, it’s course selection time for the 2025-2026 School Year! Last week, Upper School students received information on the course selection process for next year. You can discuss this information with your student and their advisor during US Conference Days on Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14. Your student and their advisor should be well-informed about the process and their options for next year, and the 2025-2026 Upper School Course Catalog will also be posted on the Hockaday website to help you answer any questions. Once your student decides what they want to take next year, they will receive paperwork from their advisor where they can record their choices, and they will also register using the Hockaday website. They must enter their choices in OnCampus by April 1 at 11:59 pm.

There is a Parent Coffee for Form IV parents this Friday, February 21, at 9:00 am in Clements.  If you'd like to attend virtually, please use the following link.  A Parent Coffee for Forms I through III will be held on Friday, February 28, at 9 am in Clements.  A link to join virtually will be shared closer to the time.

We have a Form IV Daisy Day from 12:30-1:30 pm on Friday, February 21.

Upper School parent-student conferences will be held on March 13 and the morning of March 14 (until 12 pm).  Advisors will provide instructions for signing up for a conference.

The Hockaday Theatre Company is excited to invite you to  Into the Woods with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine on February 7 and 8 at 7 pm and February 9 at 1pm in the Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Theater. Sondheim’s legendary piece weaves together characters from iconic fairy tales into one epic, magical journey. Filled with gorgeous music and brilliant lyrics, and performed by our talented Upper School students, this production reminds us to be careful what we wish for.

Next Week (February 10-13) is Spirit Week in the Upper School, when students dress in a different theme each day to build excitement about the upcoming Winter SPC Championships and to celebration the culmination of a great winter athletic season.

Please remember there are no classes on Friday, February 14, and Monday, February 17.

The Upper School Art Exhibition will be held from January 15 through January 29 in the Ann Bower '67 Gallery.

This year's Winter Formal will take place on Saturday, January 25, from 8 - 10:30 pm.  More details (e.g., theme, location, registering for the event, etc.) will be shared with students in the coming days.
