Morning and Afternoon Carpool Information

Carpool Lines: PK/K/Primer students will arrive and dismiss from the Upper School parking lot entrance. First through Fourth Grade students will arrive and dismiss through the Forest Lane entrance and exit gates. If you have daughters in both PK/K/Primer and First through Fourth Grades, we ask that you drop off all Lower School daughters at the PK/K/Primer drop-off location. We will ensure that your First through Fourth Grade daughter is directed to her appropriate entrance. Please reference the revised carpool map from the Back-To-School Details tile.

SchoolPass: Parents will need to complete the health screening for their daughters each morning on SchoolPass. Prior to students getting out of their cars during morning carpool, parents will show the SchoolPass boarding pass with their daughter’s completed health screening to the LS faculty/staff member opening their car door. Information about the SchoolPass boarding pass will be shared in an upcoming email to parents.

Individual Carpool Name Signs will be distributed Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 24 during Back-to-School Conferences. Each family will receive 2 laminated, color-coded carpool signs.  If you need additional signs, please stop by the office and pick up the appropriate color card stock.  You may then photocopy your original sign on the card stock. (A driver with a handmade carpool sign will not be permitted to pick up a child in carpool line.)

Group Carpools: If you are requesting a group carpool, please fill out the carpool form you will receive at your Back-to-School Conference. and return it to the Lower School office after your plans are firm. Group carpools will be set up when forms with matching information are received from each participating family in the carpool, and once you receive your numbered sign, you may begin using it. Until you receive your numbered sign, please notify the office daily (LSoffice@hockaday.org) of any carpool arrangements that include children other than your own daughter.
