A Note from Nicole Escudero Christenson

I recently came across a post by psychologist Adam Grant (linked here) that stuck with me. He suggested asking kids two simple weekly questions: “Who did you help this week?” and “Who helped you?” These questions shift the focus from achievement to empathy and connection—two traits we deeply value in our community. Research shows that when schools and families intentionally promote kindness and inclusion, it helps prevent unkind behavior and builds a stronger, more compassionate culture. Thank you for partnering with us to raise kind, thoughtful young people.
