A Message from the HPA President

Dear Hockaday Parents,

It is hard to believe that November has arrived! The weather is finally cooling down, the first term is complete or nearing completion, Fall Athletics are wrapping up and we are in the midst of several wonderful Fine Arts performances in each division. We are so grateful for the many parents who work tirelessly to help make the girls’ endeavors extra special. Read more

THANK YOU to …

HPA Athletic Liaisons, Pat Gum (Lead), Ann Whitley Wood (US), and Kathy Crow (MS) and the team parent volunteers for your support of our Fall athletes. Communication and snacks have never been so good! If you missed out on the Athletics Department sale of Spirit Wear, email Coach La’Boris Bean for details of remaining inventory.

Grade Reps and all of the parents who coordinated such fun Halloween events in Lower and Middle Schools and our first Daisy Diversions in Upper School.

Musical parents in Grades 2 and 4, HPA Fine Arts Coordinators Judi Stewart (Lead) and Denise Kimberling-Jones (Visual Arts) and so many more volunteers who have graciously supported our blossoming artists! Watch the calendar for the Fall Play and Fall Dance Performances.

Finally, I’d like to offer a special thanks to Mike Polosky, Jason Evans and Mark Goglia for serving grades PK-6 as Extracurricular Activity Liaisons. The EAL position is a challenging and critical role for the Hockaday Community and we greatly appreciate your commitment to inclusion and positive relationships for all! Check out their new digital home on the Parent Resource Board.
