ISAS Fine Arts Festival 2018 Volunteers Needed – April 12-14, 2018

The Hockaday School will be hosting the ISAS (Independent Schools Association of the Southwest) Fine Arts Festival from April 12-14, 2018 on campus. For 50 years, the ISAS Fine Arts Festival has been a celebration of the visual and performing arts, bringing together thousands of upper school students who will share their talents and be inspired for their futures.  Please note that Hockaday will have a student holiday with no classes in Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools from April 11-14, 2018.  Classes will resume Monday, April 16, 2018. ISAS has grown to be the nation’s premiere annual regional arts festival among independent schools with more than 3,000 students and 40 schools participating in 20 different performance opportunities. ISAS is comprised of schools from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

It takes a large number of volunteers to assist the faculty and staff at this festival. The Casady School, where the recent ISAS Fine Arts Festival took place, had 1096 volunteers from their parent and alumni community to cover 645 three-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm in addition to faculty and staff.

Please mark your calendars to volunteer for this event.  Volunteers can be from Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. Security is a top priority so only permitted staff and festival volunteers who sign up in advance may attend ISAS.

The Volunteer Site is open to confirm your general volunteer availability. Choices of shifts, dates/times will be available after the start of the 2017-18 school year. Examples of potential volunteer positions can be viewed here.

We appreciate your support of ISAS.
