Summer at Hockaday Program Highlight

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is taught by experienced teachers who have a breadth of knowledge in the realms of volunteerism, child development, and classroom management. As a CIT, you will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a counselor through hands-on experience and practice. You will spend a portion of the session with other CITs learning the skills necessary to allow you to serve as a volunteer, which you will then experience first-hand in segments of our Summer at Hockaday camps and classes. Through this program, you are certain to enhance citizenship and leadership skills. Delve into volunteerism, all while having fun, enhancing teamwork, and gaining real-world experience! After completing the two-week training session, you will spend two weeks volunteering within Summer at Hockaday camps and classes. You will quickly develop your own fan club as our campers and students adore our CITs!
