Hockaday Lacrosse Wins Fourth SPC Title in a Row

Hockaday defeated ESD 15-6 in the title game on Saturday.
Hockaday (13-1) picked up its fourth consecutive SPC title and the program’s sixth since 2014.

Sunnie Wang and Mae Flanagan fueled the championship-clinching run, starting with a driving goal by Wang with 5:26 left in the first quarter to cut ESD’s lead to 3-2. Hockaday outscored ESD 5-0 in the second quarter and concluded the run with an Aynalie Charron score with 8:51 left in the third quarter. Wang had three of her four goals with two assists while Flanagan had three of her four goals in the run.
 
Hockaday will go for its fifth consecutive state title in the Texas Girls High School Lacross League, which includes private and public schools. The TGHSLL state tournament will be held May 10 and 11.
