Attendance and Early Release Days

If your daughter needs to be absent for a day or part of the day, please email usattendance@hockaday.org and not to individuals.
Early Release Days
On even days before a long weekend, you may notice “Early Release Day” on the calendar. Since our even days end with a Y-block, we allow students to leave at 2:45 pm to start the weekend earlier. They do not need to sign out through the front office if they are leaving at 2:45 pm or after. Students may stay on campus and use their Y-blocks as usual. If students choose to leave early, please follow these rules: (This is EXTREMELY important since other divisions will be releasing their students at this time. Please help us keep safety first.)
- Student drivers MUST walk the long way to the parking lot – around the small gym/lower school building using the path that runs by the playground and walking into the lots near the fields. They cannot go through LLARC or the science building exits as they end up crossing in front of parents in carpool which is dangerous and causes delays in their lines.
- If a student is being picked up, the car MUST pickup at the Fine Arts circle – there is no pickup in front of Ownby Lobby/Science Building or LLARC. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
