Parent Education Series

Hockaday’s Parent Education Series marries the most timely and relevant issues with the growth of girls so they are prepared for today’s world. Each year we present a slate of dynamic speakers and topics designed to inform, engage, and inspire our School community. Click here to view our slate of speakers for 2016-2017. Read more

Our goal is to feature current thought leaders in education, health, and parenting as it pertains to the educational development of girls. Hockaday’s Parent Education Series provides a forum for parents and educators to learn, discuss, strategize, and implement ways to approach sensitive subjects with their children.

Through the Parent Education Series, we hope to inspire personal growth and offer opportunities to rethink priorities and perspectives in our own lives and in our communities through current best practices and new ideas. The distinguished experts in education and child development invited to Hockaday present practical tools and applications to support and inspire families to communicate, learn, and respect different value systems. Hockaday values collaboration and inclusiveness, and through the Parent Education Series we foster opportunities to connect in meaningful ways so we can understand ideas, trends, and beliefs that are important to each of us in our society today.
